20/10/2010 We have visited the Hotel Sovestro, San Gimignano many times over a number of years, Why? Because the Failli Family run an exceptionally pleasing Hotel in every respect.
Facilities are outstanding, reception, accommodation, swimming pool and large gardens. The da Pode Restaurant is the place for excellent food and friendly service.
We always recommend the Sovestro to friends and hope to pay a return visit ourselves.

18/10/2007 Beautiful hotel, fine location, lovely swimming pool in the garden. Private parking. Well kept rooms with a small terrace. Breakfastbuffet is excellent. San Gimignano is a 20 minute walk from the hotel. You have to take a (pebble) by road that leads you through the typically Toscan landscape, to get there. One disadvantage is the peculiar restaurant, where halfboard is not an option, only à la carte. The restaurant is good only very expensive! The price compared to what you get is not right.
