19/08/2011 The house is pretty, although to get there one needs to cross a poor neighborhood. It is at a walking distance (10 minutes) from a nice beach.
We would like to warn people who may want to stay in this house. A digital camera was stolen from one of our bags, which was in the large bedroom upstairs. This happened when the room was cleaned by the personnel of the house, and one of us was downstairs in the garden. The rest of our valuable belongings was fortunately stored in the car.
We immediately informed the owner of the house, Trui Pynket, who chose to neglect our complaint arguing that her staff was trustworthy. This was extremely disappointing for us, and ruined largely our holiday. One cannot have thieves in the house and be keeping all valuable things locked to avoid theft!
Despite this is a nice and relatively cheap house to stay at the coast, we definitely do NOT recommend it as the owner is not responsible for what happens there.

03/09/2011 We flew over from Belguim to Kenya and it was a long journey, but everything was well organised, and when we arrived at Mombasa airport like planned, a driver was waiting for us, and brought us to Ebony villa's.

The welcoming was great. The staff gave us a drink, and we felt directly like we were home. The same evening our personel cook prepared a barbeque for us, and it was really delicious. Not only the first meal, but everything he made us was really good. The cook, ours was Hamidi, really did everyting we asked him. Also the rest of the staff was really great.

When I go on holiday, most of the times I stay in a hotel the whole week, and chill around the pool, make a daytrip, but we never did much more than that.
This time was really different, we did very nice things. Trudy informed us for what we could do there in Kenya, and we really enjoyed it!

ps. I would recommend minimum two weeks, because time really flies there!
