I would recommend this hotel to others but with reservations. The hotel is in a superb location, is aesthetically pleasing, and is quite beautifully maintained for its 100 yr. old status. The concierge "Jose" - went beyond his duties in helping us secure reservations and tickets for different events and was very knowledgeable with respect to many of the "must see's" in Mexico City. He also assisted us in solving a rather frustrating dispute with respect to the room that was assigned to us initially. On the down-side: The room they assigned to us initially was NOT the room we had reserved (we had reserved a room with a King Bed). They instead gave us a sub-standard room (very tiny) with only a three-quarter sized bed, no elevator access, and the partying that went on that night in the adjacent rooms
kept us awake ALL night!
