12/02/2013 Verkend door een koetsritje door de stad. Dat was niet zo'n goed idee. Het koetsje racet door de straten en je ziet helemaal niks. Ik spreek Spaans en heb af en toe nog wat kunnen vragen aan de koetsier. Liever doe je het te voet! Dat is nog wel leuk, maar niet langer dan 1 dag. Er is een mooi oud klooster. Een dag Merida vanuit Isamal kan wel. Mooie, drukke stad waar je elke 5 minuten wordt opgelicht als je niet uitkijkt!

20/08/2010 Izamal heeft een heel mooi klooster, een Mayaruïne en leuke kleine straatjes met een kleine Mayamarkt op zondagochtend. Maak ook een half uur durende rondrit met een koets. Echt de moeite waard.
