27/06/2008 First of all: we give our sincere opinion, we will not judge any other positive or negative responses.

Our Nile cruise was excellent as far as culture and sights are concerned! Unfortunately we went to Egypt and didn't see any of the pyramids or the flat sand deserts, we did visit some beautiful temples though, stepped into a papyrus shop and made a trip with a traditional sailing boat to the botanic garden!

What we hadn't realised and we would like to point out to others is that the guide determines which sights are visited and at what time. Starting at 6AM and walking in the scorching heat of the afternoon is quite normal!!! Many people get sick or even faint! The guide will simply continue....

09/06/2008 We made a 4 night cruise (Luxor to Aswan) from 22-26 May 2008. The cabin on deck 4 (highest deck) has a large panoramic window. Beautiful bathroom! Our guide was Makdi. He only spoke English but he had lots to tell us. On the ship there's fine service and the food was great! I do have 1 tip: when paying for your drinks check the receipts for the exchange rate (Egyptian pounds to Euros) and double check the receipt for the number of drinks will occasionally be adjusted after you've signed it.

11/06/2008 I've been home for a week and I've disembarked the boat almost two weeks ago now. The cruise was the highlight of the holiday; partially because of the fact that we met a nice young lady and a nice couple. This in the context of the magnificent trips under the guidance of our "jella-jella-royals" - leader Ramadan and a great atmosphere on board; this holiday will always have a special place in our hearts. We couldn't have hoped for a better and more beautiful introduction to Egypt. Now we need to process all the film material and document it. We could say so much more but I would say: feel free to ask.

08/06/2008 We just returned from an 8 day Nile cruise and we really enjoyed it. Especially the fact that you travel long distances comfortably by boat is a very big plus! The excursions are well arranged and are not too short or too long. Our guide possessed quite some knowledge and also spoke Dutch. Entertainment is a big word for half an hour/evening but it's all down to what you expect or want. After the cruise we went to Hurghada for a week. In hindsight we would have been better of going to Cairo for a few days and then spend 3 days at the resort. 3 Days is more than enough to relax. All in all a very nice and educating holiday with plenty of contact for a young couple!
Do bare in mind that you'll be visiting a country that doesn't have a high opinion of Western women. You will also see many armed people in the streets near the tourist attractions.

27/06/2008 We are very pleased about our trip to Egypt. On board it was perfect. Good food and they cleaned the rooms twice a day. The excursions were also very much worth it. Good guide (Abbas). Perhaps you didn't have enough time to look around but we are still very pleased.
