20/08/2007 Urk is in one word wonderful. The old village has a quiet atmosphere and you can enjoy yourself on the beautiful beach or on one of the many benches along the water. Highly recommended.

31/05/2007 If you want to go back in time for a day or enjoy the atmosphere of yore, you should go to Urk. It is beautifully located on the rocks on the IJsselmeer, with beautiful historic houses. There isn't much to do or see; a couple of cafés and lots of water.

20/06/2007 Beautiful surrounding area. Nightlife is absolutely okay, the cafés are a bit full, but they are pleasant. As far as culture goes, there is enough to do and see on Urk, especially during the so-called 'Urker Day', held once a year. The surrounding area is
