The square boasts a view of the Zuiderkerk, the Josef Israël’s church and the Moses and Aaron church. Other famous markets are the Albert Cuijp and the Bloemenmarkt (flower market).

The best places to go out in Amsterdam are located on the Leidseplein. There are lots of bars and atmospheric restaurants in the area. During the summer the square is full of outdoor cafes.
