26/07/2006 Surroundings are nice, Holterberg is beautiful. Zutphen and Arnhem are near. There are nice woods. Markelo itself is not that special, it doesn't have a centre, only things like a bakery and a supermarket etc. There aren’t many possibilities to go out, on

26/07/2006 Markelo is very nice and in the summer it is a tourist village in the beautiful Twente landscape. There are two large discos and many good restaurants. It is the perfect base for trips to other places in the environment and it is also suitable for cycling
