Carvoeiro is a small town on the Algarve coast. It has 3 beaches, many bars and restaurants and is within short distances of many golf courses, 2 water parks and other, larger coastal resorts. Although now no lnger a small fishing village, Carvoeiro still retains a village atmosphere. In the summer evenings there is entertainment in the small square - live music and entertainers - as well as various bars having live music. However, this music is not intrusive and there are many places to go without music if that is what you like.
There are beach events - boat trips etc from the main beach and plenty for children to keep occupied with. If livelier days are needed, Albufeira is a 40 minute drive away with the towns of Portimao and Lagoa also close-by.
There are many shops in the town that can arrange daytrips to Zoomarine, water-parks or jeep safaris into the mountains. Surfers will need to go west and not in the summer as the waves are too small then.
