Hotel Vasco Da Gama, Monte Gordo desperately needs updating. The carpets are threadbare and there are huge stains on the walls.
On the upside, the view over the sea is amazing and the area is very quiet
The staff are very helpful, polite and friendly.
The food in the restaurant was aimed mainly at the Germans and there were times when we had to eat out even though we were half board.
The room was cleaned and towels changed every day, but it really wanted decorating. We reported few problems for 3 days before they were seen to.
We had a terrible storm one night which flooded our room as the rain came under the door to the terrace and through the window, it took 7 hours for the room to be sorted out.
The hotel needs to be completey refurbished as we felt we did not get value for money.
