Have booked the navegadores hotel in montgordo for a week in late sept has anyone got anything good to say about this hotel reading some of the reviews i am getting a little concerned. Also has anyone got any idea how much it costs and best way to travel over the border to spain for day

I made a reservation trhough STRAWBERRY-WORLD.COM, to Dom Pedro Baia Club hotel in Machico. which was a scam. I understand i have to make a complaint to tourist office, which i alredy did. I lost this way 434 euro reservation of the room and transfer from airport. People in my same situation contact me in order to have a solid case in front of the Court against them. Only just seen your question, a bit late answering as I'm sure you'll know by now. We lived in Sao Martinho for 3 years and the weather was mostly very good right up to end of Oct, temperatures in the early 20's but feels hotter in the sun - great little place.

a very short distance the hotel is at the end of what people call the promenade by the fort and at the other end are the gardens which in may are superb due to the flowers and trees all in bloom . Fantastic hotel best on the island ,superb food ,great staff what more can i say best place i have ever stayed .

Yes there is heating but not 24 hours goes off late evening and back on at 6.30 am . All Hotels must provide heating in Portugal when needed. Have fun Christos PS Your welcome to pick your own Oranges in our Orange grove ,we are in Starada Monties De Alvor just after the small Airfield Quinta Santo Antonio on your right hand side after the Airport 50 yards after the first bend enter big black gates dive up to the house.
