10/06/2008 We stayed from the 23rd of May - 6th of June. This hotel really is excellent (it's been said before). The 44 steps from the lobby to the pool weren't a problem (might be if you're elderly). People who want to lie in the sun near the pool or day shouldn't really come to Madeira as it tends to be quite cloudy most of the times. The bus to and from Funchal from the hotel is useful and it leaves every hour after 9.30. I can recommend reserving a set the night before which can be done after 18.00. I really liked the fact that the bus was always on time. We really enjoyed our holiday on this amazing island and we will definitely come and stay here again.

11/06/2008 There are extras for members of the RIU Club. This is a nice hotel with extras like a shuttle bus. The service was great on all levels.

09/08/2007 Very good Riu hotel on Maderia. Friendly personnel, good meals and fine rooms. They do their best to enjoy the guests. There was a special bus that drove to Funchal several times a day.
