Great place if you want a quiet holiday
Love it. We've been three times in the last two years, staying at the the Oasis Atlantic Hotel. The area is quiet, no English lager louts! wonderful if you like walking ( especially uphill! ) and it's easy to get to Funchal ( and it's smelly buses! ) on your hotel coach or the local bus service.
A pretty boring place. You've got to visit Funchal.
A beautiful environment. A beautiful coast. Lots of restaurants with good food and cosy terraces. No museums or old parts of the city.
There's a small part of the ocean with rocks. You're able to swim here. Good showers.
