Nice town, typically Slovakian. There are more possibilities for lodging than here. The former 'sovjet' hotel Parc is fully remodelled and recommended. Nice for trips to the north (nice castles) and the western Tatras. The area is worth it.
Small town, one square with a few restaurants and small shops. (very good restaurants). Saturdays all shops are closed. Easy to get to Poland from here or Krakau. The place itself is not much.
