28/06/2008 The first train takes some getting used to. The pool is too small and dirty. Because of the size of the camping you have to watch where you end up. In the back means covering quite a distance every day: lots of car traffic. For small kids it's not suitable. The beach is fine and within easy access, the snack bar halfway is handy for getting some ice-cream or a snack, the restaurant is fine. There are nice towns nearby: Tarragona is just great! That lady at the till: drama. We are on vacation and she is not. And that is something she resents!

13/08/2007 This is a nice camp site located near a clean and pretty beach. The sanitary amenities are clean and well maintained.
The downside is that there's a railroad near the campsite which can be quiet noisy. The noise doesn't stop at night.

22/08/2007 We had really lovely time in Las Palmeras. It took us a while to get used to the busy railway nearby. The beaches in Barcelona and in Tarragona and lovely and can be reached by public transport or by car (not hard to get to at all).
It was great.

13/08/2007 I rented a mobile-home during the first two weeks of August. The beach caravans are located near the beach and the forest caravans are right at the back of the sight. It's a 1500 metre walk to get some fresh rolls. This means there's a lot of traffic in the park.
The back of the camp site, where we were staying, was near a playground for small children. There are also 4 public barbeques and some picnic tables nearby. The camp site is really quiet at night.
The beach is really fantastic. The children spent days jumping through the waves (big ones too). The water is clear and the water is also a lovely temperature.
The surrounding area is nice with lots of little villages nearby. Barcelona is a 45 minute drive, Salou 15 minutes and Tarragona is a nice place which is only five minutes away. The beds were a bit on the small side for someone who's my height, 2.00 m (1.35 x 1.90).
The tourists here are mostly French and Spanish. There's only entertainment near the pool. The pool has a free wi-fi area near the pool (bring a lap top).
The noise from the train is loud but you get used to it after a couple of days and there are no trains at night.
