We just came back from Costa Meloneras. It is a beautiful hotel with beautiful and large pools, well kept rooms and a nice buffet. The breakfast was good, but we had larger breakfasts and the breakfast was not varied. The buffet during the evening was good and varied with fresh vedgetables. Enough choice with fish and meat and other snacks like cheese etc. The desserts were the same every day, but tasty. The garden was very large and we found ourselves a spot every day (it is easy if you are not picky). The entertainment was great, the music was rather annoying though. Lots of German people staying here, but they were nice. The personnel was kind and helpful.
A lovely hotel! Beautiful and large rooms with a large balcony. Good cleaning. The breakfast and the dinner were great, a lot to choose from. Enough fish, enough meat, enough choice. I loved eating on the terrace outside. The garden was beautiful with some pools to relax. A beautiful area with a boulevard and some lovely terraces. I might come back some day.
90% of all guests were Germans (unfriendly and arrogant people). You will have to wake up early to get hold of a reclining chair. You must put a towel on it in order to keep it. The same music and food every single night.
Stayed for 8 days in August and I still wake up sometimes feeling like I can just walk onto my balcony and enjoy the sun-drenched complex.
We really had a great time, literally everything is extremely relaxed, just too bad that clothes etc are so expensive there (not in Playa del Inglés).
The swimming pools, let alone the garden, are absolutely terrific, so beautiful and they clean every inch of it every day!!
Beach is great too, you can do anything you like there and it's not as crowded as over in PLaya del Ingrid...
In short, absolutely worth the effort, it is totally fantastic. GOING AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!!
We stayed at this hotel from 8-8 tp 8-15 2007.
We thought it was an excellent hotel. But keep in mind that the front is under construction, so that can be a nuisance.
The room with swimming pool view is a very nice one. With a separate bed and a separate shower.
The location is good, but fill up your wallet well because the shops all sell hardl anything but expensive, real brands.
The service is perfect. Especially the chambermaids.
We liked the food, although some of it was tepid or cold at dinner. We didn't experience that last winter.
Placing towels happens everywhere. So you'll start doing that sooner or later. But if you don't need a swimming pool spot that badly then there are plenty of other spots to find.
We're going for the third time next Wednesday. Only book this hotel with breakfast only. It doesn't matter that it's all so massive at breakfast. Eat out for dinner at the boulevard or Playa del Inglés (by taxi!!!).
Excellent hotel where you feel really at home.
And well, yes, it's crowded, but what do you expect from a 1200 room hotel?
But that's what you go for, right?
Clean and fresh hotel.
