I just got back from Canaria, super hotel. Have been going there for 6 years now, twice a year. They just started renovating the carpet in the halls which is really necessary. For the rest a fine hotel.
We stayed in this hotel for 1.5 week. We had a great time. The hotel is very large with around 900 rooms. The hotel room was good, we didn't have a double bed. There was a tv with RTL 4 present as well. There were 2 swimming pools, an entertainment swimming pool and a quiet pool. The entertainment team spoke a lot of languages and were organising a lot of sports and games and in the evenings nice shows! Bit noisy in our room but it lasted till 23.30h. Breakfast was fine, a lot of choice. No refridgerator in the room though *you could rent it for 3 days for 5 euros a day). A safe was present in the room for 2 euros a day (plus 10 euros surity). To open your door you would get a card with your name on it. You could put money on this card as well to pay for drinks in the hotel and you would immediatly get a 10% discount. The hotel has a free bus that drives to the beach and back.
We are mostly at the hotel at Christmas, celeberate the new year there, there's a very good sphere with friendly staff, good service. Our son is handicapped and they help where they can, the bath tub is quite tough but all right. This is a delightful hotel for us, the location is too. You can take walks everywhere, shops and terraces, friendly people and all helpful, your holiday is a success due to this.
The hotel was fantastic!! Spacious and nicely maintained bedroom. The food was great. The entertainment team is multi-lingual so everyone can join in. There are different themes which makes the hotel really special. Overall it was a really nice hotel. The beach is quite far away, but there is a free bus service and otherwise you can take a taxi which isn't that expensive.
Got back yesterday.
Nice hotel, with clean rooms, spacious and well maintained.
The restaurant was nice and large, the public toilets in the hotel were really clean.
The pool was nicely maintained, looked great situated between all the palm tress. There were too many balls and lie-low's in the water.
Entertainment team, at night they were rubbish, just dancers and if you stay 14 days you'll see the same dance three times.
It just gets really boring and after a while nobody seemed interested any more.
The people on the patio weren't really entertained, they could have organised more games, karaoke, or something fun like that.
The entertainers from outside the park were great and managed to draw in a large crowd.
We (23 and a 27 year old) just got back. We spent 13 days in rooms that were spacious and nice. Cleaner's did their work thoroughly. You can put an amount of money on your room card and if you use it pay you get a 10% discount on food and drink. Can recommend an excursion to Tenerife for the day (Loro Parque), they have lovely shows and the dolphins and the whales are amazing. You can go the crocodile park on Gran Canaria. I was pleased to see someone taking care of abandoned animals. They have different animals there, I bought a bunch of banana's to feed the monkeys. That was fantastic experience. If you want to enjoy a night out in a cafe I can recommend going to Gran Chapparal!! Take some time to visit Willem in his bar Que Pasa...
