Parquemar is a place that is fortunately reltively full of irrigated green, contrary to the rest of this bone-dry island. The staff and cleaning are superb there! The facilities, shops and entertainment centre ar good. The beaches are within walking distance and look very well-kept and the waves are great to swim and body-surf in.
It depends on the location of your cottage how much noise you'll get from the nearby main road.
After 10 p.m. there is, unfortunately, the endless booming of the Eugeni Victoria hotel next door. The rock-hard, back-torturing beds don't make it any easier to get a good night's sleep (tip: take airbeds and earplugs with you!).
To those who have a problem with the presence of cockroaches I can only suggest that they read a book on these creatures. They are very common in Parquemar and they don't bite. Despite the minor irritations, Parquemar is a real must :)
