09/09/2007 We were in this hotel the first 2 weeks of August. The hotel is laid out beautifully, with a wonderful view of the sea, 3 nice swimming pools ( with a bar in it) and a spa. Those are the positive points, the negative points are the busy road that runs right next to the hotel and causes a lot of noise, meals are at Spanish hours, 14.00 in the afternoon and from 20.30 in the evening. Quality is okay but zero variaty. Unfriendly reception staff, beach is dirty with rocks. Sound arrows were fired every night around 23.00 hours and on August 14th there is a large fest on the beach with fire works, symphonic orchestra etc, that starts at 24.00 hours. They reherse everything the evening before. It's impossible to sleep for those two nights. Not enough shadow by the swimming pool and by 9 o clock all the loungers are 'reserved'. Animation for the children was mediocre. In short: not such a great hotel for me.

11/05/2007 Beautiful, new, luxury hotel. We had a beautiful spacious room with balcony and 2 bedrooms! Wonderfull breakfast. Besides the spa the hotels also has 3 swimming pools. Hard to get to the beach. Close to the centre of Altea. Very friendly waiters.

23/02/2007 Very beautiful and high quality hotel, that deserves its 5 stars. Easy to reach and at about 1 km from Altea, where in the old town on the hill as well as by the water you can enjoy a very tasteful and fresh fish meal. Also in the hotel: outstanding breakfast, we also had an a la carte dinner, beyond reproach and the price was okay for a 5 star hotel like this. Impeckable service, free loungers and towels by the multiple swimming pools. Beautiful bar, free internet next to the reception. A free and spacious parking space outside. Very spacious rooms, beautiful, in short: very okay. ( tip: ask for swimmingpool-seaview and a higher floor) In the evening around 20.00 they come by with the towel service. In the vicinity you can visit: of course the pleasant, real Altea, Calpe, Benidorm ( well, you have to have seen it once right) and of course Denia ( would recommend = delicious food and boats to the Baleares & shops) Summarized: absolutely recommendable and definitely worth its money, cause of course it isn't a cheap hotel but you do get your money's worth.
