12/12/2010 we have friends who live on the gran alacant complex love the place we try and get out there as often as possible fantastic beaches great in september hot but comfortable july and august too hot plenty of bars and resturants regular bus service into santa pola plus hourly bus service around gran alacant by bus or road train will be going back for christmas

19/07/2010 Gran Alacant is beautiful however I wouldn’t recommend it as a holiday destination. A car is definitely necessary here, when we booked our accommodation we were told a car was not necessary but we were lost without one. Our holiday home was described badly we were told we were 0.5 km from the beach when it was over a mile away, there was meant to be a BBQ which was the deciding factor for us but there was none. The beach was beautiful but rough. I recommend a visit to Santa Pola their market was brilliant they had amazing things at reasonable prices. Alicante was confusing, I was lost there the shops and bars are well hidden which made finding our way harder, I liked the stalls they were nice. I didn’t think much of the night life, I read online that Alicante had a vibrant nightlife but it was disappointing. Public transport was cheap it departed from the beach area which we didn’t find out until the holiday was almost over. This holiday wasn’t for me but everyone’s taste is different

08/05/2006 This is about Grand Canaria. It was nice there, nice and hot. It looked clean. Lovely. Nightlife was good, very crowded, nice. A lot of culture. Great surroundings. The beaches were lovely. We got robbed there though.
