(And I bet this hotel has the best beds in town).
I have recommended Birger Jarl Hotel to all my friends and colleagues.

25/06/2009 A brilliant hotel which has a lot more style than some 5 star hotels I have seen. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms pleasant, although not massive. The gym and sauna are worth a visit and the breakfast buffet is a true smorgasbord!!

It was the little touches that impressed us the most, like jugs of fruit-infused water in reception in the mornings to re-hydrate on your way to discover the delights of Stockholm.

Would highly recommend if you can get a good rate.

25/06/2009 Would definitely stay at Birger Jarl on our next visit to Stockholm. All of the hotel staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help with enquiries - places to visit, recommended restaurants etc. You are also able to surf the Internet in the bar/lounge area at reception.
The rooms on the 6th floor are the only ones which have not been refurbisheed to contemporary swedish style but would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others.

25/06/2009 The hotel was modern with stylish rooms. All of the hotel was extremely clean and all of the staff polite and helpful. You couldn't have asked for more selection in the breakfast buffet!

25/06/2009 Good value for money - The staff are very helpful and the breakfast is a feast. The hotel is a good 10 minute walk from the station but well worth it.

25/06/2009 A very freindly and welcoming hotel, good location although a good 30 minutes walk to the picturesque old town (5 minutes by the underground which is very close). Rooms were very well kept and spacious, No ironing board and iron - a feature that drives me mad when on business.
I will stay here again (with an iron!).

25/06/2009 Hotel is of a high standard would modern decor and has obviously received a lot of investment in recent years. Rooms are nicely decorated, though compact but I expect that in the city centre. Biggest drawback was the lack of air con in the bedroom - we stayed in July and it was really hot. Good location.
