09/06/2008 I don't understand why people still come and stay here. This hotel was scrapped by most travel agencies last year because of some hygiene issues!!! We were given 900 euros compensation because of our terrible holiday last year. The hotel has been declared bankrupt and you could really tell. If you have booked this hotel I can recommend trying to change your booking!! The photos look really nice and the view of the pool is great but it's all lies. This place needs lots of work doing to it and it isn't safe for children.

03/06/2008 This place was just awful. The food was disgusting, the shower was cold and we had a smoking room (don't smoke). The a/c leaked and the staff couldn't speak a word of English. It looked nice when we arrived but after a few days we found out what it was really like. We can't believe this place hasn't gone bust yet as it really was awful.

03/12/2007 From the 21st of July - the 1st of August I stayed at Grand Iskandil. The worst period that the hotel ever experienced. Everything that could be bad, was bad. Aggressive cook who ran into the restaurant while everyone was eating there. Our tour operator didn't reply yet. We complained about this disappointing vacation!

19/11/2007 We stayed there from the 23rd of July - the 5th of August. At arrival a lot of negative stories. We tried to make the best out of it. Although we got ill, had dirty bed sheets, cold water, aggressive cook, dirty food, unfriendly receptionists, dirty sanitary facilities, so we complained. They offered us another hotel (3 stars). Our tour operator told us that it wouldn't be much better than the 1st hotel. So we refused, else we had to carry all our suitcases again to another bad hotel. They told us that we could get 150 euros compensation. Grand Iskandil was a big disappointment, our tour operator too.
