A good hotel, except for the lift. It needs a bit of paint here and there. Spacious room, well cleaned. Gorgeous view from the balcony. Valet parking; 15 dollars a day. Taxi to the center; 7 dollars.
Only 1 lift, you wonder how long it takes for them to fix the 2nd one.
We stayed here for 2 nights on the 11th of April. Annoying that still only one lift was working! Rooms were reasonably clean. If you come here, book a room with a balcony.
Oldfashioned hotel, the rooms are old and obviously need some renovating. It is clean though and big. On the halls and in the rooms there's an old smoke smell. It's not a bad hotel at all, the breakfast is great and the swimming pool excellent (especially compared to other hotels in Miami Beach, that are often way more expensive with a big pool). Take the bus and within minutes you're in the Art Deco district or on Ocean's Drive. Don't expect some fancy hotel, it looks like a spanish hotel, just without the drunk british or germans.
Good hotel, european based kitchen and clean rooms. Staff is really RIU, so perfect. Next to the beach only downside is that you have to rent the recliners for $20 a day. Rest is ok.
Great hotel, breakfast is very good, a lot of choice, dinner could be a bit more varied. Go to one of the nearby restaurants at night and eat there. It's a 15 minute walk to the centre. Great pool, hotel next to the beach. In front of the hotel you can take the bus, which drives you every 15 minutes from north to south for only $1.50. Definately a place worth going to. Price/quality is real nice.
