25/06/2009 Despite a lovely beach location, this hotel falls short of its neighbors. The location of the pool is disappointing....shrowded in the shadows of the building and without a view of the beautiful beach and ocean. Rooms - despite a recent refurbishing- are lackluster. While the living / kitchen area of the ocean front suites is acceptable, the bedroom area is dark and gloomy, lit only by a small nightstand table. The vanity area is small and only accommodates one person at a time. Given this is the only area with a mirror and proper lighting, we found it very difficult to get ready for dinner. The hotel overall seems tired, and the staff reflects this. While the GSAs who checked us in were quite pleasant, the senior staff member who assisted with correcting the room mistake was missing in his hospitality training. Next trip we'll return to the Tradewinds.

25/06/2009 Adequate in all aspects. Nothing fancy, but clean, pleasant staff and a lovely huge beach. Nicely priced.
