Edison hotel
Great location! OK rooms, but somewhat worn down. Would use it again if I wanted a location in the middle of everything.
The Edison, NYC
The hotel has a GREAT location, next door to the W Times Sq and behind the Paramount...but boy, don't think it's had a penny spent on it in 40 years!!
Tired, old and full of package tourists... But clean and everythink worked.
Enjoy!
It was ok..
Well.. it started with the hotel staff saying they didn't have our booking. They kept a credit card print although I'd already paid in full with Skoosh. I was tired after a long flight so agreed to put my card detail hoping that they would sort it out by the next day and will not charge us. The next morning while checking out, they notified us that they'd already charged us. We'd have to resolve the matter with Skoosh.
As far as the hotel goes, it's very basic. A bit smelly in corridors and rooms. The location is great if you want to do the touristy things as it's very near time square.
Edison
No I would not recommend this hotel for a second. I was highly dissappointed. The room was freezing in the middle of November. The hotel was totally overprised for what it was worth.
Our expectations were definately not met and I would strongly recommend not to stay there.
The hotel is very favourably located for numerous sights and it's in the middle of Broadway's nightlife. The rooms are very cramped but clean. No airco and because it was hot the window was open which meant a great deal of noise from the street.
This is a perfect hotel to use as a base when visiting New York! This hotel is in an excellent location. It's really near Times Square. The rooms are nice too. We will definitely come and stay here again.
Excellent hotel. Central location. Clean and spacious rooms. Excellent value for money.
Excellent hotel. Central location and really clean rooms.
An ordinary but neat hotel, close to Times Square. Old, but well kept and clean rooms. A lovely hotel. You'll have a nice time for sure.
A dirty place, not cosy at all. Smelly rooms and the paint was beginning to blister. Lots of hairs lying in the bathroom. We went to a different hotel (Belvedere, 48th street). This hotel was very clean.
