Negative comments:
Not one socket was properly fixed to the wall, the bathroom door couldn't be locked, the door was broken and nails were poking out.
The overflow spillway of the bath was loose so the excess water would seep under the bath.
At night there was hindrance from lights because the door hinges weren't properly fixed.
The room's decoration was very dated, Eastern Europe might be jealous.
The sound of the hydrator was a nuisance.
The airco had one button; on or off.
The lights could do with replacement, lopsided and old.
Very cramped room, bed was very narrow (1.20m).
Price is not right for what they offer!
Positive comments:
They regularly refreshed the bed.
They provided fresh towels every day.
I would like some response to this review!!!!!
Great location including the concierge and security close to Broadway and Times Square.
It's already been a year since I stayed here. It's simply a fine hotel. Don't expect too much though. You don't need much except a place to sleep. Super location! If I ever go back to NY I will certainly stay at the Milford Plaza.
Don't expect anything luxurious. This is a decent hotel in the city which has an amazing location. The double room was quite small but you don't need much when you're on holiday in New York??? There were lots of clean towels and they changed the bed numerous times during our stay. It was amazing. Everything looked just as it should and the sheets were white without tears or holes. The room itself wasn't spotless but it was pretty clean. They could do some work on the building and the rooms.... Amazing location in the heart of theatre land. The bus and the metro stops are just around the corner. There's also a stop for the hop on hop off busses. We were allowed to check out a little later on the last day which meant we could leave straight for the airport. We were also able to check in before 3 on the first day. If I ever get the change to go to New York again I will definitely decide to stay in this hotel.
When we arrived they were unable to find our booking. We were introduced to a manager who was able to find our booking. We had made the booking which had been cancelled just after we booked. We were given a room and they were going to take care of it the next day. This must of happened because we had no further problems during our stay in this hotel.
A poor and dirty hotel. Small beds and an old bathroom. It wasn't possible to clean such an old bathroom. The elevators were terrible. There are four of them, but only one works. It will take you half an hour to arrive downstairs. It's a very crowded elevator. A great location, but i think there are better hotels in the area.
Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. In one word, worthless! It was dirty, noisy, filthy, small, with battering air-co, too cramped beds and small ancient bathroom. Too much to mention. Old, badly maintained and good for demolishing! In a very bad neighbourho
