Location perfect
Awful smelly rooms, but the price is right and the location is absolutely perfect - anyway, who wants to spend time in a hotel room in New York. A bed and a bath - and then - out in the streets. Surprisingly fine breakfast concept. I would recommend Penn anyday. Even the cab driver know the location of this hotel.
The Pennsylvania Hotel was so convenient!
I would totally reccomend the Penn Hotel, it was clean and the location was perfect. I thought that the hotel was a great value and helped to make our New York experience that much better!
Great localization!
Great localization. The hotel needs urgent renovation! But in general terms it was OK for what we paid for.
This hotel was great for location. Central to every tourist attraction worth seeing, close to good food, subway and train stations. Safe area and lots to do. Busy/lively hotel. Rooms were small but cute and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great and relaxed time in NY.
me n my two friends stayed here for 8 nights for 710euro,the same price for some hostels we checked out. it was very good value for money, the lobby area is large and inviting, with bell boy services etc.,the room had two double beds and was very spacious and overlooked macys, the shower was very powerful, and the staff were friendly at the counter. you can tell by the rooms and halls that its an oldish hotel but i found it very reasonable. only thing id recommend is to use the internet accross the road its much cheaper. although wireless prices are ok. and do not use the telephone for international calls please! its perfect location, the 1,2and3 line subway is right outside with just one stop to times square, and its also right across the road from madison square garden to see a knicks game! its not total luxury but was totally acceptable.
we loved the pen hotel
second time staying there would recommened to my friends it was center to everything very good value for money only back and planning my next trip
huh?
It is a very mainstream hotel. The rates are fairly reasonable in NYC and so are the rooms. Apart from the gist that we had some problems with our doors which the front desk staff were less then helpful, it was generally well-located (Penn station just around the corner).
I will recommend to people who wants a no-fuss stay in NYC with limited budget. However, do more research and you could probably skip this hotel.
ok
On first impressions the hotel seemed quite grand. The reception area was very nice. Checking in took a long time even though there was only 3 others in front of us. We got the impression the staff couldnt be bothered and they wondered off at the slightest opportunity. Once we left the lift you could see the real pennsylvania hotel it is run down and well in need of a good overall. Our room was ok run down and old but clean the bathroom was spotless including the shower curtain most importantley !!! Although i didnt like the old electric heater!! Overall the hotel is in a great location 5 mins from Empire State and Times Square. Good value for money in terms of location but dont stay here if your expecting luxury because its not. But who goes to New York and stays in the hotel.
Good God What A Dump! Pennsylvania hotel
I would'nt recommend it to anyone! We changed room 3 times. (Still did'nt get any better). Once you leave the lobby be prepared for the rockie horrer show of interiors. Paint peeling from the walls, rotten skirting boards, rotten and rusting antique heating system. Nothing to like, but clean!!!!! Location was okay but any place would have been better. Staff are nice, Swoosh didnt recommend it and i would trust there advice in the future!
