Reviews Campsite Eurosol ****

Our 1st visit to France as we were visiting our Nephew and his family in Castets. the site was an excellent location and the beach was the cleanist i have seen for years!

The site it's self was very well located and very clean even though dogs are allowed on site.

We stayed in an Iris mobile home which was clean and well equipped however even though we only had 3 occupants I found the storage very minimal.

Last summer we stayed at this camping for 2,5 weeks and we have no complaints. We had a lovely holiday despite a rainy week. Only minus is that it seemed a bit grey. But other than that we really didn't have any complaints. Fine sanitary, friendly staff (not just at the supermarket), beach nearby, large spots. If you wanted to visit a town you had to drive for at least half an hour but that was OK. After all, you are on holiday and there's plenty of time. There's a large supermarket at just 15 minutes by car. Our tent caved in because of leakage, the manager really helped us out. We were offered the possibility of renting a tent, thanks to that we had a very nice final week. If you like the beach and high waves this really is recommendable. At the camping you could eat well and at the small boulevard near the beach there are nice eating houses with good food.

the camp-site itself is quite well-maintained, but the pool closes too early and the camp-site boss is a regular jerk.

we have been coming for 4 years and we wanted one of the most beautiful stands, the ones with view a view over the forests, he said that we had to wait a few days because he did not want to open up the toilet cabins.

a day later there already were other people on those spots, whereas we had e-mailed in avance that when we came there we wanted to stand there.

we went to the camp-site boss and he said that it was only for ''regular customers '' whereas we have bee coming there for 4 years.

this year it has been also reserved for regular customers, all places on that side.

we find this really odd.

furthermore, there are not many nice shops and you must drive far before you get to a real city.

Very nice camp-site, spacious stands, quiet, much fun for children all ages (also for adolescents, many sports activities, among other things; basketball, water polo, football, beachvolleyball), sanitary facilities cleaned very well (water not always hot but the place was always tidy!), well assorted camp shop, nice bread, beach within walking distance, good pool (okay, closed on Sundays but the beach is near!), in short, for us a very fine and cosy camp-site to return once more!

Therefore I do not understand the negative responses, and do not recognize the described situations at all.

Fantastic new chalets furbished common sense, location of chalets in relation to one another a bit chaotic, entertainment insufficient, swimming pool closed on Sundays, stange!, excellent service.

Been at Eurosol from 16/8 till 29/8/2007.

Showers are too hot.

Swimming pool closed on Sundays and otherwise just from 10.30 - 19.00 hours.

Baguettes and croissants from P'tit Casino are rubbish and the nearest Boulangerie (Baker) is far away. (10 km)

Staff of P'tit Casino almost rudely unfriendly.

Very businesslike and impersonal treatment by the camping staff.

Bicycle paths through pinetree woods are boring.

In short: Once but never again.

This year we have been to Eurosol for two weeks; we had rented a mobile home.....

When we got in there was was a terrible stink.... These caravans have been located too closely together, so there is not a lot of privacy.

The swimming pool opens late and closes early and is closed on Sundays; a let down.

There is a lot to do for small children but for youngsters there is less to do. Though daily road football, volleyball, waterpolo, etc.

Something is being organized every night.... but this is all in French!

The location is very beautiful, in the middle of a region with pinetrees.

The beach is at about 1000m, but can be done on foot easily.

Nice villages are not to be found in the region.... you'd have to go a distance to reach a village/town.

The beach is well-guarded, but remains dangerous.
