Reviews Hotel Eurovillage Achilleas ****

Food was good. Alcoholic all-in drinks had less alcoholprocentage. Hygiene: very clean. Entertainment by Iliyas was great. Joy for everyone (waterpolo, aquajoggen, kidsdisco, disco, darts, poolparty, bingo); sometimes gastentertainers (The three tenors and the gitarist were not so great). Mastichari is nearby (20 minutes). The hotel offers a service to go to Kos and back for 10 euro pp. Tip for Hotel: don't let cats into the restaurant (it's dirty). New rule: visitors don't place towels on te beachbeds if you dont lay on them! Not nice to struggle each day to obtain a beachbed.

My and my friend stayed for a week. We wanted somewhere chilled out and relaxing. We went on the 16th September once the kids were back at school. The service was brilliant, from the reception to the chefs and to the cleaners, everyone we met or spoke to were so nice. All the staff work so hard. The food was good, I'm not a fussy eater but at breakfast everything was egg, which I can't eat. But there was so much to choose from and so much of it was fresh and healthy. The whole resort is spotless, there's cats everywhere but they are looked after. The view from our balcony was the sea and the sunset was amazing. We met so many people that go back there once or twice a year. I am going back next year with my family. There's something for everyone. The hotel is close to the stunning beach, 10 min walk to the harbour where you can get a ferry to another island. KOS town is 20 mins away on the bus from the hotel. Everywhere is stunning! I can't wait for September 2017.

Early May we, together with our kids, stayed at Achilleas Beach for a week. It was just great! A fine hotel; we had a family room which was great. Every day we got fresh towels and the sheets were refreshed 3x a week. We had a lovely view of the sea. Great food, friendly staff, highly recommendable for everyone!

Also a nice entertainment team; they try to do something nice for everyone. We had a great week here!

Beautiful hotel, super nice garden, great food.

Public transport can't get to the hotel, first you have to walk for 20 minutes to Mastichari. The hotelbus (paid) to Kos leaves at 9.30 and returns at 14.30 already. So you will basically need a rented car. Staff is really friendly, beach is lovely and quiet, some rocks though but no problem if you bring some watershoes. Apartments have a view on the ocean, make sure you arrange this upfront.

Little choice of fruit and no desserts for dutch standards. Some yoghurt or greek yoghurt would've been nice. The fruit that they had were small apricots, apples or half apples that were covered with soft spots or some oranges, that was it.

This place is very suitable for a quiet, relaxing holiday, but you should not take forget to take plenty of cash along as there are hardly any cash machines and of course you will need money to buy things from the shops. The only cash machine is in Kos and it costs 25,00 euros to get there by cab. Share the fare with 4 people, then it is about as expensive as taking the bus.

The room: you have to hold the showerhead in your hand, the water was cold and if it was finally hot it would get boiling hot if you'd flush the toilet at the same time. The cleaning of the room was poor, only towels and sheets twice a week instead of 3 times a week. The food: had gone off, it was the same thing each day: soggy fries, raw and cold boilt potatoes. and one night we had beans for dinner and the next day we found them back in a bean salad. The beach: dirty, full of thorns and big boulders. Not suitable for children. The volleyball field was flooded often. The pool was alright, the kids' pool was very hot 30C. The cleaning ladies would clean around the pool until 9 am and they would mop with bleach which bleached our own bath towels but the hotel did not pay for them as they were 'not responsible'. The entertainment was great this did make up for things a bit but we thought the food and drinks were horrible, because there diluted with water (even the Coke and Lucozade) etc. Travel agencies should take this hotel out of their brochures, it is really dreadful :-( !
