Reviews Hotel Jardines de Nivaria *****

We visit this hotel for years now and we are satisfied. We usually stay here during the winter period. We also stayed here in May. Looking at the price/quality-ratio, this place is the best. We travel a lot. We really feel at home at this place.

We were not satisfied about the junior suite when we arrived. It was very small and not comfortable when you are staying here with a kid. According to the brochure there should be two separate rooms. It was nothing more than some sort of gate (27m2 max) and not the 40 m2 they promised. We would have changed tour operators if we had knew. The hotel finally gave us a suite and we were satisfied. So the service was very good. The junior suite was poor (5), but the suite was lovely (8). The baby pool was very small, so it is not exactly a place suitable for kids.

we stayed here in June 2007. This was a fantastic hotel, but at shame the poolbar was just being renovated when we were there. But I suppose with all year round tourism on Tenerife, you will have to plan a certain date. The lack of the bar was made up correctly by the waiters who would walk regularly past the swimmingpook to take orders for drinks and food. The rooms were spotless and clean, nicely decorated and had a large balcony with a fantastic view of the garden, swimmingpool and the sea. We can really recommend this place and the location os perfect too, not too busy with still lively with cosy bars and shopping malls. The waiting staff, reception staff and all other crew were very friendly.

We have been back for about a week now and we had a superb holiday. The hotel was well worth its 5 stars. We only took breakfast there, but it was great. We are two adults with no kids, but I would not take kids to this hotel. There is not much for them to do. If we go to Tenerife again next year, we shall certainly stay here.

On our honeymoon we went to this hotel. We booked a room with a view of the sea, but we got a room witout it. We got two separate beds instead of a kingsize bed and to top it off there was a huge cockroach in our fruitbasket! The day after that we did get a new room and a bottle of champagne to apologise. We did not like the food in the hotel at all. The salty swimmingpool had sand all over the place and was too hot at times, where as the other swimmingpool was often too cold. As a honeymonn present we received the use of the sauna for 2 hours and a massage of half an hour. The massage was pathetic and only lasted about 10 minutes and we had to get out of the sauna after an hour! On our departure we found that they had failed to inform us that dinner was not included, so we ended up paying for our gazpachos and salads and a joint drinks bill of 68 euros! We do not feel this hotel should be rated with 5 stars! They will never see us there again!

We went on honeymoon here! Beautiful hotel, with a delicious buffet and very friendly waiting staff in the restaurant. You do not get a sense of mass tourism here, and you can completely relax in this place. A huge recommendation!

In general a very good and quiet hotel, nicely located. Very beautiful and large garde with 2 outdoor swimming pools of which one is HEATED. We did not feel this haad anything to do with the crowds of the mass tourism. Food is not exceptional and the service in the restaurant could be better for a 5 star hotel. The drinks are also rather pricy. The juniour suites are alright with great beds. We will certainly return here.

A hotel where you could find peace and quiet. Very clean hotel.
